  • PGA Tour Wins: 06
  • Current World Ranking: No. 10
  • Latest Win: 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge
  • Team Appearances: 2024 Presidents Cup & 2025 Ryder Cup

Down the stretch at the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge, Russell Henley birdied his final three holes in regulation just to force a playoff, then beat Eric Cole to win it. He did it all with a driver that's six years old. While most of the field chases the newest release every season, Henley just proved that trusted equipment still wins on tour, and his bag is worth studying for exactly that reason.

Titleist TSi3, 10°

titliest tsi3 driver review

Henley is still playing the Titleist TSi3, a driver Titleist released back in 2020. Set at 10° on a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 70 6.5 TX shaft, it's outlasted three newer Titleist driver generations since it first went in his bag. If you're chasing distance and assume you need this year's model to compete, Henley's win at Colonial is a reminder that a well-fit head from years ago can still outperform the newest release, for the right swing.

The fairway wood is even older than the driver. Henley's Titleist TS3 dates back further still, paired with a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 80 TX shaft, and it was in the bag for his Charles Schwab win alongside the equally veteran driver.

Titleist GTS3

GTS3 Fairway 7 wood

This is the one genuinely new club in the bag. Henley swapped his TSi2 hybrid, a club he'd carried for years, for a brand-new Titleist GTS3 7-wood on a Project X Denali Black shaft, adding it just two weeks before his Colonial win at the PGA Championship. It's part of a broader shift across tour, where more players are trading hybrids for higher-lofted woods that launch easier and land softer.

A Blend of Old and New Titleist

Henley's irons tell the same story as his woods. His 4-iron is a newer Titleist T250, chosen for extra forgiveness on the longest, hardest-to-hit club in the set. From 5-iron through 9-iron, he plays the original Titleist T100, released back in 2019 and still one of the most-played irons on tour. He splits his shafts too: True Temper Dynamic Gold AMT in the 4-6 slot, then the stiffer Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 from 7-9. Henley has ranked consistently high in Strokes Gained: Approach with this exact setup.

Reader tip: if an iron set is working, especially in the scoring irons, there's no rule that says you need to replace it every year. Henley's 2019 T100s prove a well-fit set can hold up for a long time.

Titleist Vokey SM11

Henley carries four Vokey SM11 wedges: 47°, 51°, 55°, and 60°, all on True Temper Dynamic Gold S400 shafts. His 60° uses a T-grind, one of the most popular grinds on tour, and he was the first player to win with it in the SM11 line this season. According to Vokey rep Aaron Dill, Henley specifically values the versatility it gives him around the green, especially out of sand. Henley currently ranks 6th on tour in Strokes Gained: Around the Green, and it shows.

Scotty Cameron Phantom T5 Tour Prototype

The putter has stayed constant for multiple seasons: a Scotty Cameron Phantom T5 Tour Prototype, a forgiving mallet shape with a slim top-down profile. Henley was fitted into it by his coach, Phil Kenyon, and it delivered at Colonial in the biggest way possible, sinking three straight birdie putts to force the playoff, then closing it out.

Titleist Pro V1x

Rounding out the bag is the Titleist Pro V1x, matching his long-term equipment deal with the brand, which he signed back in 2017.
